South Congress
Walk, shop and grab a bite and a libation or three. This iconic street boasts fun stores, hip boutiques, Austin-original eateries, and street art murals. (Don’t miss the often-photographed “I love you so much” at Jo’s Coffee.)

Barton Springs Pool
One of the crown jewels of Austin is located in Zilker Park. The pool measures three acres in size, and is fed from underground springs with an average temperature of 68-70 degrees, ideal for year-round swimming.

The Capitol
Tours of the the state capitol are free, informative, and visually stunning. It is the largest of all domed state capitol buildings and is widely recognized as one of the nation's most distinguished state capitols.

Lady Bird Lake
With gorgeous views of downtown and the water, the trail and boardwalk is the perfect spot for a stroll or jog. You can even try paddle boarding.

Blanton Museum of Art
Located on the University of Texas campus, the Blanton showcases over 21,000 works from across the ages, from ancient Greek pottery to abstract expressionism.

The Contemporary
Get inspired by curated art exhibits at the Jones Center at 700 Congress Avenue. Or wander the sculpture garden at Laguna Gloria at 3809 West 35th Street.
